The Reynolds Strike C Clincher Wheelset tells you exactly what its intentions are with its name -- to strike. So, whether you're aiming to quickly cover ground in Zone 3, or the time has come to jump off of the front, the Strike C aid your objective with sheer speed and reactivity. As a deeper version of the Reynolds Assault, which is a slightly heavier version of the Forty Six, the Strike's rim was also constructed from its PR3 Hybrid Carbon. As a result, the wheels tip the scales around a respectable 1680 grams. This places them just around 6 grams over the Reynolds Sixty Six clinchers, however, both wheels share a nearly identical mold, measuring out to a maximum width of 20.8mm and a rim depth of 66mm. So, while aerodynamics and stability rank rather evenly, the ride characteristics differ in response to the Strike's slightly heavier carbon layup, although the Strike still features an impressive and improved stiffness-to-weight ratio.
